About the Lab
The AI Forecasting Analytics Lab is led by Prof. Dae Keun Park, chair of the Department of AI Healthcare Convergence at the CHA University Graduate School, and studies prediction and decision support with generative AI and big data. The lab develops multitask machine learning models that jointly predict drug clearance and volume of distribution, as well as models that predict multiple clinical outcomes, and publishes this medical data research in international journals. Semantic network analysis and topic modeling of large-scale news data, retrieval-augmented avatar chatbots, microsimulation of pension and fiscal policy, and time series forecasting of financial markets are also major research areas. Prof. Park received his Ph.D. in management engineering from KAIST, chairs the Department of Data Management, directs digital innovation in the RISE project group, and shares research portals and AI tools on the lab website.
Research Areas
- 01
Text and media big data analysis of large-scale news, including semantic network analysis, topic modeling and crisis communication analysis
- 02
Multitask and interpretable machine learning models for joint prediction of drug clearance and volume of distribution and for multiple clinical outcomes
- 03
Applications of generative AI such as embedding-based ESG (environmental, social and governance) analysis and RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) avatar chatbots
- 04
Microsimulation and Monte Carlo models of the basic pension, unfunded liabilities of the national pension and welfare and tax policy
- 05
Modeling and forecasting of financial and macroeconomic time series with unit root and level-shift tests, long-run mean reversion and structural change detection
- 06
Effects of dividends, equity-linked executive compensation, debt maturity, ESG and tax evasion news on firm value
Research Plans
- 01
